June 20, 2022
Burglary – 9:32 a.m. – 5700 block of Lincoln Ave. – At approximately 2:00 a.m., a suspect entered the business via a broken window and stole $400 cash from the register. A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) was created in an attempt to identify the male.
Burglary – 4:43 p.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Sometime within the last week, an unknown suspect broke in and stole 2 guitars, 1 bass, two gaming consoles (PS3/PS4), a pink snowboard, and other miscellaneous items.
June 21, 2022
Burglary – 10:04 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Sometime between 6/19/22 and today’s date, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s storage unit and stole a Dewalt table saw. The point of entry was cut through the wire fencing in the ceiling of the unit.
Transient – 3:33 p.m. – 4900 block of Orange Ave. – From a call of an intoxicated transient, the subject taken for sobriety treatment.

Hit and Run Traffic Collision – 7:15 a.m. – Lincoln/Bloomfield – From a non-injury hit and run traffic collision, a male subject was arrested for hit and run and DUI.
Arrest – 2:02 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for shoplifting and a felony warrant.
June 23, 2022
Catalytic Converter Theft – 1:51 a.m. – 9700 block of Graham St. – Two male subjects were observed stealing the catalytic converter from a vehicle. The suspects were last seen fleeing the area in a dark sedan. The same vehicle was related to a catalytic converter theft taken on 6/14, with the suspect vehicle being a silver or gray Nissan Altima.
Non-injury Traffic Collision – 3:41 a.m. – Mt. Ripley/Holder – The driver of a white Range Rover reportedly fell asleep; the Range Rover then struck three parked vehicles before rolling onto its side. Contact was made with all registered owners. Alcohol was not a factor.
Malicious Mischief – 11:00 a.m. – 10600 block of Progress Wy. – Sometime overnight, two suspects cut a hole in the fence to enter the property and check the company vehicles. This business suffered multiple catalytic converter thefts recently, but have yet to replace those catalytic converters and it is believed these may be the same suspects from the previous thefts. No loss and $5K damage to the fence only.

Suspicious Subject – 2:03 p.m. – 9600 block of Juanita St. From a suspicious person call for service, a male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Decoy Operation – Various Locations – Cypress Police performed a tobacco grant decoy operation for the illegal sales of tobacco products to minors. 23 establishments were visited. 2 businesses were cited for selling tobacco products to a minor.
Vehicle Burglary – 7:00 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – The victim’s vehicle was broken into within the last hour. The vehicle lock and ignition were damaged and the suspect stole miscellaneous property.
June 25, 2022
Grand Theft Report – 7:21 a.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield – On 06-24-22 at 8:00 p.m., a known suspect stole the victim’s tools, stereo, cell phone, cash, and alcohol from the victim’s vehicle. The suspect also vandalized the victim’s vehicle and residence by writing on it with pen. There was reportedly an ongoing roommate issue at this residence.
Arrest – 9:26 p.m. – Katella/Warland – A tow truck driver called to report a vehicle stopped on Katella that declined to enter the checkpoint. The tow truck driver attempted to keep the elderly driver at the location by jumping on the hood of his vehicle. In fear for his safety, the elderly driver drove with the tow truck driver on the hood, eastbound on
Warland, northbound Valley View, then westbound on Katella, passing the checkpoint with the tow truck driver still on the hood. As they passed the checkpoint, the tow truck driver fell off the hood. The elderly driver was arrested for being an unlicensed driver.
DUI Checkpoint – 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. – Katella/Cara – The checkpoint resulted in 777 vehicles screened, two DUI arrests, ten unlicensed driver arrest, and six moving violations.
June 26, 2022
Arrest – 4:34 a.m. – 5800 block of Holmby Ct. – From a call of a suspicious person possibly trying car door handles, a male subject was arrested for a bench warrant.
Attempted Catalytic Converter Theft – 8:56 a.m. – 10600 block of Pamela St. – Between 06/25 at 8 p.m. and 06/26 at 8:30 a.m., unknown suspect attempted to steal the victim’s catalytic converter from their vehicle and ultimately damaged it.
Arrest – 7:55 p.m. – 10200 block of Valley View St. – From a call for service of a female subject selling items in the parking lot, a female subject was arrested for felony out-of-county warrants.
