June 13, 2022
Domestic Violence – 8:03 a.m. – 5600 block of Marion – During a physical altercation that occurred on 6-11-22, the victim reportedly sustained bruising caused by her husband. The subject was not present at the time of this report. An Emergency Protection Order was obtained but not served.
Traffic Collision – 2:55 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – A delivery driver was backing up and pressed the gas instead of the brake and backed into the maintenance building. There was minor damage to the building.
June 14, 2022
Arrest – 8600 block of Watson St. – From a call for service, a subject was arrested for a felony warrant, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Vandalism – 5:19 p.m.- 5600 block of Bishop St. – A citizen observed three subjects tagging a vehicle and a wall on the rail road tracks with spray paint. Officers conducted an area search and were unable to locate the subjects.
June 15, 2022
Traffic Collision – 2:56 a.m. – Ball/Holder – Officers were dispatched to the listed location regarding a single vehicle collision into the center median, causing property damage to the brick City of Cypress town sign.
Vehicle Burglary – 9:50 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – The victim parked his 2014 GMC van in the parking lot and returned a few minutes later. When he returned, he observed the front passenger side door lock was punched and a black bag containing personal information had been stolen.
Domestic Violence – 4:14 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – The victim’s ex-boyfriend reportedly assaulted her during a funeral, causing injury to her face.
June 16, 2022
Attempt Theft (Catalytic Converter) – 5:44 a.m. – 9000 block of Moody St. – Two suspects were seen tampering with the victim’s vehicle while the vehicle’s alarm was sounding. It was determined to be an attempted catalytic converter theft, and the suspects fled prior to fully removing it. The reporting party waited 5-10 minutes before calling.
Injury Report – 8:32 a.m. – 6100 block of Orange Ave. – Female tripped and fell in the alley, causing a laceration to her head.
June 17, 2022
Arrest – 3:13 a.m. – 10300 block of Lorraine – From a call for service of a subject trying door handles, a male subject was arrested for warrants and possession of stolen property, possession of fentanyl, and vehicle tampering.
Traffic Collision – 9:50 a.m. – 5500 block of Lincoln Ave. – Construction truck collided into the bowed out planter area, colliding into a tree, shrubs, and a pole. Public Works responded for a significant oil spill. Ultimately the driver was arrested for DUI.
June 18, 2022
Vehicle Theft – 9:51 a.m. – 9400 block of Cambridge St. – Between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., the victim’s white Chevy Express van was taken by an unknown suspect. It was later recovered by Long Beach PD with no suspect in custody.
Public Works Callout – 5:39 p.m. – 6900 block of Katella Ave. – A large tree limb still connected to the tree was reportedly blocking the #3 lane of traffic and sidewalk creating a safety hazard. Public Works responded for the removal of the tree limb.
June 19, 2022
Arrest – 5:05 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service regarding a possible domestic violence, police arrested the male half for possession of a controlled substance. The domestic violence was unfounded. At the time of this log, the male’s identity was unknown. Officers were awaiting a fingerprint reader from a neighboring agency to identify him.
Arrest – 7:00 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – The unidentified arrestee from dayshift, was identified after we utilized the livescan machine at Los Alamitos Police Department. He had two felony warrants for his arrest and additional charges of resist/delay, forgery and possession of lost property.
