July 4, 2022
Community Event – 10:00 a.m. – The shift participated in the American Independence Day Bike Parade.
Disturbance (Subject) – 11:09 p.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service regarding a male subject taking off his clothes in the patio area of the business, a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
July 5, 2022
Catalytic Converter Theft – 8:26 a.m. – 5600 block of Camp – Sometime over the past few days, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from his Toyota.
Suspicious Subject – 9:27 a.m. – 5800 block of Corporate Ave. – Officers were dispatched to the area regarding a subject trying door handles. A male subject was arrested for two felony warrants.
July 6, 2022
Burglary – 9:10 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Sometime in the last 6 months, an unknown suspect stole miscellaneous personal items.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 12:54 p.m. – 6700 block of Reefton – Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. today, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.
July 7, 2022
Vehicle Burglary – 7:17 a.m. – 8400 block of Monique Wy. – The victim’s vehicle was burglarized via window smash overnight. The loss was a wallet and purse.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 3:59 p.m. – 6100 block of Chip – Two males wearing facemasks were seen under the victim’s vehicle taking the catalytic converter. They were seen leaving in a yellow or orange truck.
July 8, 2022
Injury Report – 10:49 a.m. – Orangewood/Andros – A Public Works employee observed a male subject who had fallen laying on the sidewalk.
Arrest – 4:30 p.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – While patrolling the area, an officer observed a subject who matched the description of a burglary suspect from a case he investigated involving storage unit burglaries which have occurred over the last day. He detained the subject and located over $20,000 in stolen property (salt water fishing poles, tires, PS2, Hot Wheel collectibles) in his possession. He was later arrested for possession of methamphetamine, burglary, possession of stolen property, and outstanding warrants.
Vandalism – 8:40 p.m. – 5400 block of Brittany Wy. – The victims reported that a named suspect punched their garage door, causing $800 worth of damage. Officers conducted a parole compliance check and were unable to locate the subject.
July 9, 2022
Vehicle Burglary – 7:50 a.m. – 5500 block of Lincoln Ave. – Between 7:00 a.m. and 7:50 a.m., unknown suspect smashed the window of the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse. Unauthorized credit card charges were then made in the City of Buena Park.
Criminal Threats – 9:44 a.m. – Lincoln/Bloomfield – From a call for service regarding a subject who threatened the reporting party and supposedly had a gun in his pocket, a male subject was arrested for vandalism. It was determined the suspect vandalized a stranger’s vehicle by throwing his bicycle at it and punching it, but the firearm and criminal threats were unfounded.
Robbery – 8:31 p.m. – 10000 block of Valley View St. –A male subject a bandana on his face attempted to steal 4 bottles of alcohol but was thwarted by employees. He pushed one employee and then threw the bottles of alcohol at another employee on his way out of the store. He was last seen in a dark gray Cadillac with a female driver.
Petty Theft – 8:40 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – The same suspects from the above incident stole 4 bottles of alcohol and fled the area.
July 4, 2022
Arrest – 3:10 a.m. – 11400 block of Anegada – The reporting party called from Europe saying he could see a male subject on his Ring camera, in his driveway trying his vehicle door handles. Officers surrounded the area and went on foot and located the subject in the 11300 block of Culebra, hiding under a vehicle. The subject was arrested for possession of burglary tools, conspiracy, identity theft, and a probation hold. Officers later located his vehicle on Providencia/Barbados, along with his girlfriend. The female subject was arrested for possession of narcotics, paraphernalia, identity theft, and a probation hold. Mail was returned to the victims on Tortuga and the area was checked for any further victims; none were located.
Traffic Collision – 11:15 a.m. – Moody/Lincoln – Officers were dispatched to the area regarding a traffic collision where the driver was having a medical emergency. Upon arrival, the driver was unresponsive and his vehicle was continuing to roll northbound on Moody, veering into oncoming traffic. An officer positioned his patrol unit in front of the vehicle to prevent the driver from colliding head-on with southbound traffic, causing the vehicle to collide into his patrol unit. The officer was forced to exit his vehicle through his driver’s side window and was able to remove the keys from the vehicle.
