January 29, 2023

 
Traffic Stop – 3:48 a.m. – Ball/Denni – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling over 100mph.  The driver was arrested for being unlicensed and was released in the field.
Brandishing a Weapon – 2:33 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – From a call for service of a suspect who brandished a weapon at the victim, officers located the suspect vehicle fleeing the area and conducted a high risk traffic stop. Ultimately, the suspect was arrested for various weapon charges, including felon in possession of an unregistered loaded firearm and brandishing a firearm. He also had a no-bail warrant for felon in possession of a firearm. He was transported to Orange County Jail (OCJ) for booking.

January 30, 2023

 
Catalytic Converter Theft – 4:46 a.m. – 4300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime between yesterday at 1 p.m. and time of call, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.
Statutory Rape – 5:26 p.m. – 9800 block of Valley View St. – A fifteen-year-old and sixteen-year-old claimed to have consensual intercourse with an eighteen-year-old. Both victims were taken to a hospital for examinations.
Pedestrian Check – 11:24 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a pedestrian check, a female subject was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and a parole violation. She was booked at OCJ. 

January 31, 2023

 
Assault and Battery – 12:01 a.m. – 6200 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers responded regarding an assault and battery investigation. A male subject was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after he struck his son multiple times with his fists, rendering him unconscious. The son was transported to a hospital with facial injuries. The suspect was booked at OCJ. 
Commercial Burglary – 4:04 a.m. – 5800 block of Katella Ave. – Officers responded regarding the business owner observing two suspects on video smash the rear door glass and enter the business. When officers arrived, they also found a rear door window smash at another business. At the time of this log, the exact loss was unknown. 
Sex Offender Arrest 6:42 a.m. – 10900 block of Meridian – From a call of a transient refusing to leave, a male subject was arrested for a convicted sex registrant failing to register multiple times.  The subject was absentee booked at OCJ. 
Robbery – 2:04 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – A male subject threatened to shoot the victim when he attempted to detain him for a shoplifting case.  The suspect fled southbound on Valley View in a black 2019 Honda Civic. Cameras captured the vehicle at 2:18 p.m. northbound on Beach Blvd. at Stanton in Buena Park.  There were no local contacts for this vehicle.  A general broadcast to all law enforcement was issued. The loss was a Ryobi tool.

February 1, 2023

Vehicle Burglary – 9:00 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s truck cab via a passenger side window smash and stole his Common Powertrain computer that runs the vehicle. 
Pedestrian Check – 10:26 a.m. – Ball/Sorrento – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for 8 warrants. The subject was absentee booked at OCJ.

February 2, 2023

Vehicle Burglary Report – 9:37 a.m. – 4700 block of Newman Ave. – Between 2/1/22 at 11 p.m. and today at 9 a.m., unknown suspect entered the victim’s work vehicle by damaging the trunk locking mechanism, stealing paint spray machines ($2300.00 loss).
Vehicle Burglary – 5:26 p.m. – 9600 block of Glenbrook – An unknown suspect broke into the victim’s white Ford F550 work truck overnight.  The suspect used a pry bar to open the locked containers and steal tools. 

February 3, 2023

Traffic Stop – 2:08 a.m. – Cerritos/Walker – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for possession of a concealed firearm. The subject was cited and released in the field.
Pedestrian Check – 12:28 p.m. – 10900 block of Yamaha Wy. – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released in the field.

February 4, 2023

Traffic Stop – 3:21 a.m. – Lincoln/Denni – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for reckless driving, felon in possession of ammunition and a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, felon in possession of a concealed firearm, and possession of a ghost gun.
Domestic Violence – 6:39 a.m. – 9600 block of Bloomfield Ave. – Victim reported her boyfriend threw a plastic cup at her face, causing minor injury. The suspect left the scene in a vehicle prior to the arrival of police, and the victim ultimately did not desire prosecution, refused photographs, and an emergency protection order was declined.
