February 19, 2023

 
Assist Outside Agency – 1:45 a.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield – California Highway Patrol was involved in a pursuit that terminated in the 9000 block of Bloomfield. The driver was taken into custody by CHP for evading and DUI. No Cypress units were involved in the pursuit.
Suspicious Vehicle – 10:27 a.m. – 6800 block of International – From an occupied vehicle check, a male subject was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released.

February 20, 2023

 
Bike Stop – 12:24 p.m. – Valley View/Corporate – From a bike stop, a subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was cited and released in the field. 
Shoplifting – 12:37 p.m. – 5000 block of Ball Rd. – A transient was arrested for shoplifting after he filled up multiple bags of property and walked out.  He was cited and released in the field and the property was returned to the store. 

February 21, 2023

 
Vehicle Burglary – 7:30 a.m. – 9900 block of Juanita – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle via a passenger side window smash and stole a purse and laptop.
Warrant Arrest – 9:35 a.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject was arrested for a felony warrant after he entered during closed hours. The subject was advised per trespassing at Costco and he was absentee booked at Orange County Jail (OCJ).

February 22, 2023

 
Suspicious Vehicle – 1:26 a.m. – Valley View/Lakeshore – From a call for service of a suspicious vehicle at the location, police conducted a traffic stop and arrested a male subject for a probation violation and other warrants. Police also arrested a second subject for possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Officers located a large amount of unopened boxes of trading cards inside of the second subject’s vehicle. The second subject was cited and released from the station and the first subject was booked at OCJ.
Traffic Collision – 8:17 a.m – 9800 block of Valley View – During the morning hour drop-off, a grandparent of a student failed to safely negotiate a right turn out of the high school parking lot and collided with a light pole.  The broken concrete light pole was suspended by a wire until SCE could respond with a team to remove the pole.  This took several hours, which resulted in the sidewalk and #3 southbound lane being blocked.  Public Works assisted. 
Arson – 4:07 p.m. – 10100 block of Moody St. – An unknown suspect, possibly a resident west of the
park, threw a brown box into the dumpster.  The box ignited and caught fire.  Fortunately, the box was the only thing in the dumpster and was extinguished by OCFA

February 23, 2023

 
Attempted Stolen Vehicle – 7:19 a.m. – 8700 block of Sumner Pl. – An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle via a door lock punch and tampered with the ignition.
Petty Theft – 7:01 p.m. – 11600 block of Wake Cir. – Overnight, an unknown suspect stole miscellaneous items from the victim’s vehicle. No suspect information.

February 24, 2023

 
Traffic Stop – 2:00 a.m. – Lincoln/Valley View – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for possession of narcotics and paraphernalia. A second subject was arrested for possession of narcotics, paraphernalia, and resisting/delaying an officer. At the station, the first subject refused to sign his citation. Based on his refusal, he and the second subject were both transported to OCJ.
Road Rage – 10:33 a.m. – 4400 block of Casa Grande – During a road rage incident, the suspect followed
the victim to a location and exited his vehicle with a knife, threatening to kill the victim, attempted to hit him with his vehicle, and then punctured multiple vehicle tires. The incident was captured on video and a partial license plate was obtained. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot and used a ruse to get the suspect to exit and took him into custody. He was arrested for a felony warrant, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, brandish weapon, felony vandalism, and assault on officers. During transport, the subject became extremely uncooperative, repeatedly spit on officers, and ultimately officers deployed the Taser. He was medically treated and transported to OCJ.

February 25, 2023

 
Commercial Burglary – 9:29 a.m. – 6400 block of Ball Rd. – At 5:12 a.m., a suspect smashed the front glass door of the business, entered, and stole four credit card readers. Surveillance footage captured the burglary and the suspect was only described as wearing a white sweatshirt.
Residential Burglary – 8:53 p.m. – 8300 block of Carob – The victim’s house was ransacked while the owners were out of town.  The suspects made entry via the back door slider and were described as two male wearing dark hoodies and face masks. The video was captured by a neighbor’s camera.  Loss is $100 in cash.
