February 28, 2022
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 9:07 a.m. – 4600 block of Larwin – An unoccupied stolen vehicle was located while patrolling for parking violations. The vehicle was stolen out of Los Alamitos and it was returned to the owner.
Grand Theft – 7:53 p.m. – 6900 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject entered the business and removed multiple items from the display case and walked out of the business with the items. The subject was seen leaving the area in a white Audi sedan southbound on Knott.
March 1, 2022
Vehicle Burglary – 7:44 a.m. – 4000 block of Via Encinas – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle via window smash and stole tools, credit cards, and a drone.
Child Annoyance – 11:02 a.m. – 8700 block of Moody St. – A 12-year-old student had been discovered communicating with a suspect online. The suspect, who claimed to be a 17-year-old-male had requested the victim to send nude photos. The victim had sent photos of herself in underwear only.
Shoplifting – 2:10 p.m. – 5500 block of Ball Rd. – From a call for service, a female subject was arrested for shoplifting after she stole makeup. The subject had committed this crime at this business in the past.
Vehicle Theft – 6:23 p.m. – 5700 block of Orange Ave. – The victim dropped and lost his keys while at the park. He responded back to where the vehicle was parked and found it was stolen. The vehicle was a 2011 BMW 320i. Later, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department contacted Westcom Dispatch and advised that they had locate the vehicle at Katella and Western with a suspect in custody.
Pedestrian Check – 9:07 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for warrants. During the booking process at Orange County Jail, the subject was found to have concealed methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl in his underwear. Additional charges of possession of controlled substances and knowingly bringing narcotics into a jail were added.
Arson – 11:22 p.m. – 10700 block of Holder St. – Officers were dispatched to assist Orange County Fire Authority with pallets on fire at the location. OCFA Arson Investigators responded and deemed the fire to be an arson. A short time later, an arson registrant was located a few blocks away at Cerritos and Valley View, but there was no evidence to link him to the fire. Surveillance camera were located at the location but were unable to be retrieved or reviewed.
March 2, 2022
Petty Theft – 12:24 a.m. – 5200 block of Bishop – The victim received an alert on his Ring camera system and saw a male subject in his backyard stealing a paint sprayer from the shed. The subject was seen entering a black Dodge Ram and leaving the area eastbound on Bishop. The loss was valued at $500.
Burglary – 4:19 a.m. – 5900 block of Corporate Ave. – Officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at the business. When they arrived the front door was found ajar. While they were checking the business, the cash register was found pulled away from the front counter but was dropped by the suspect. The loss is unknown at this time.
Grand Theft – 5:45 p.m. – 6000 block of Cerritos Ave. – The victim stated while the vehicle was at the location for service, $20,000 in cash was taken from a backpack in the vehicle. The vehicle was at the location for approximately one hour for service. No video surveillance at the location.
March 3, 2022
Pedestrian Check – 4:21 p.m. – Lincoln/Knott – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for several outstanding warrants and a second male subject was arrested for possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.
Assist Outside Agency/STAR Team Callout – 6:32 p.m. – Katella/Los Alamitos Blvd. – Officers assisted with traffic control during a traffic collision investigation.
March 4, 2022
Bike Stop – 8:36 a.m. – Katella/Knott – From a bicycle stop, a male subject was arrested for three outstanding warrants and being in possession of methamphetamine
and drug paraphernalia.
Trespassing Advisement – 9:04 a.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. – From a call for service of a repeat subject known to previously commit thefts, the subject was advised of trespassing and a field interview was completed to document same. The business will prosecute if he returns.
Vehicle Burglary – 9:20 a.m. – 4000 block of Berwick Ct. – Overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle through a partially rolled down window and stole a wallet, credit cards, and a dash camera.
March 5, 2022
Vandalism – 8:44 a.m. – 8600 block of Watson St. – Overnight, unknown suspect(s) ripped the sinks out of the wall in the men’s restroom. Public works on scene and no working sinks until they can get replaced. The loss was valued at $1000.
City Liability – 6:02 p.m. – 9200 block of Grindlay St. – A City-owned tree fell and damaged two parked vehicles. One vehicle left prior to the arrival of police. Public Works was called out to remove the tree blocking the sidewalk.
Disturbance (Fight) – 11:45 p.m. – 4300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers responded to multiple callers indicating a large fight between 10-15 subjects. When officers arrived, an urgent request for assistance was called due to the large crowd and subjects fighting inside the bar. Outside agencies assisted and officers were able to detain the involved parties. Once video was reviewed and interviews conducted, it was determined to be an assault/battery between several intoxicated subjects who did not want prosecution. Bar employees stated no damage to property, and they also did not want prosecution. All involved parties were advised of trespassing and an incident report was taken for documentation purposes.

Domestic Violence – 1:59 a.m. – 4400 block of Casa Grande – From a call for service, a female subject was arrested for domestic violence.
0228 hours – Overdose
Vandalism – 4600 block of Larwin – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect shot out the back window of the victim’s vehicle with a BB gun.
