December 19, 2022
Grand Theft – 8:38 a.m. – 4300 block of Myra – Sometime between 12/16 and today’s date, an unknown suspect entered the rear yard of the house for sale and stole newly-installed pool equipment valued at $10,000.
Shoplifting – 12:55 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – An adult subject and a juvenile were arrested for grand theft after they shoplifted multiple rugs from Home Depot. Both were released from custody with charges to be filed through the DA’s and Juvenile DA’s offices.
December 20, 2022
Catalytic Converter Theft – 1:28 a.m. – 10100 block of Christopher St. – Within 15 minutes of the time of call, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2004 Honda Accord. Surveillance video revealed a newer model, 4-door, white BMW as the suspect vehicle occupied by at least three males. Officers were unable to locate the subjects upon arrival.
Attempt Catalytic Converter Theft – 1:36 a.m. – 5700 block of Stratmore – While on an area check for the previous call, Officers were dispatched the above address regarding a second catalytic converter theft. Officer arrived within minutes, however the suspects were gone on the arrival of police. The victim identified three male suspects in a white newer-model BMW. Further investigation revealed the victim’s catalytic converter was not taken, only damaged.
Fire – 4:27 a.m. – Orange/Moody – Officers responded to the construction site at Orange and Moody and located a stack of wood pallets on fire. OCFA responded and put the fire out. There were no suspects seen in area. The only damage appeared to be to the portable bathroom.

Failure to Yield – 2:53 a.m. – Valley View/Cerritos – Officers were dispatched to a disturbing subject in a white vehicle. An officer located the vehicle at Valley View and Cerritos and initiated a traffic stop. The driver and registered owner was identified. He failed to yield to officers’ lights and sirens through the city to the 91 Freeway eastbound. Officers followed the vehicle to the 57 freeway northbound where he then accelerated to an unsafe speed, at which time the California Highway Patrol took over and pursued the vehicle. CHP ultimately took the subject into custody in the City of Beaumont for DUI and other charges.
Vandalism – 9:43 p.m. – 5500 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call of a vandalism that just occurred, a male subject was arrested for felony vandalism after he threw rocks through the front windows of the business. He was booked at Orange County Jail (OCJ).
Vehicle Burglary – 10:02 p.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – Within one hour of the time of call, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole miscellaneous items including cash, valued at approximately $600.
Domestic Violence – 10:52 p.m. – 5700 block of Cathy Ln. – From a domestic violence call for service, a female subject was arrested for felony domestic violence after she grabbed her husband by his neck during an argument, causing visible injury. The female subject was booked at OCJ, and an emergency protection order was granted and served.

Pedestrian Check – 3:33 p.m. – Ball/Holder – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released in the field.
Pursuit – 10:40 p.m. – 6400 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service of reckless drivers and street racers doing donuts in the intersection, an adult male subject was arrested for felony evading, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and aiding and abetting; the other adult was charged with aiding and abetting, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of a billy club. The two juveniles in the vehicle were released to their parents at the station. The adults were transported to OCJ.

Commercial Burglary – 7:46 a.m. – 5300 block of Lincoln Ave. – An uunknown suspect smashed the front window and reached through the window, stealing the credit card terminal.
Robbery – 12:35 p.m. – Lincoln/Denni – While the 13-year-old victim was walking home from school, a male subject approached him from behind and ultimately punched him in the face and stole his cellphone.
Street Takeover – 10:51 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A large group of over 100 vehicles was reportedly in the parking lot doing donuts and burnouts. Officers were able to eventually clear out the parking lot.
December 24, 2022
Arrest – 6:22 a.m. – 5500 block of Sprague Ave. – A male subject was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats after he showed up at his mother’s home, approached his aunt (the victim) while making verbal threats, and then repeatedly hit her with his shoe and a wooden chair. The victim ultimately had moderate injuries and suspect was located a short distance away. He was transported to OCJ for booking.
Arrest – 10:45 p.m. – 6200 block of Rosemary Dr. – Officers responded Code 3 to a residence where the victim found a female subject ransacking inside of victim’s vehicle. The female was arrested for petty theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a switchblade. The female subject was transported to the station where she was cited and released.

Pedestrian Check – 8:23 a.m. – 6700 block of Katella Ave. – From a pedestrian check, a female subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant. She was cited and released in the field.
Warrant Service – 10:39 p.m. – 5500 block of Newman St. – From a warrant service at location, a female subject was arrested for a felony warrant. She was booked at OCJ.
