August 15, 2022
Arrest – 5:58 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service and welfare check at the location, a male subject was contacted for warrants and a female subject for possession of controlled substance for sale and warrants.
Arrest – 9:06 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – While patrolling the parking lot, an officer got a license plate reader hit and located an unoccupied stolen vehicle out of Garden Grove. After an hour of surveillance a female suspect returned to the vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot. The female subject was contacted. A search of the vehicle and her property revealed several passports belonging to minor females and numerous stolen electronic devices. The subject was arrested for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of burglary tools and pandering.
August 16, 2022
Arrest – 8:29 a.m. – 8700 block of La Salle – From a call for service, a female subject was arrested for domestic violence after she struck and scratched her husband.
Violation of a Restraining Order – 11:10 a.m. – 4800 block of Grace – From a call for service, a subject was arrested for violation of a restraining order.
August 17, 2022
Burglary – 11:24 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Sometime in the past three weeks, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s storage unit and stole miscellaneous items
Embezzled Vehicle – 4:59 p.m. – 8700 block of Sumner – The victim’s gray 2014 Toyota Sienna van was reported stolen after his friend refused to return it.
August 18, 2022
Assist Outside Agency – 1:20 a.m. – 5400 block of Cynthia – Buena Park Police was in the area looking for a disturbing subject armed with a firearm. Officers located the subject and his vehicle at the listed location and conducted a high-risk traffic stop with Buena Park units. The suspect was taken into custody without incident after surrendering to a Cypress Police K-9. The firearm was located inside of the vehicle
Burglary – 8:38 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – Between June 2022 and today, an unknown suspect burglarized a class room in the Fine Arts building, stealing bicycle parts, china, and silverware. The suspect also damaged the class room and school property with gold spray paint.
August 18, 2022
Bicycle Stop – 3:26 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – While on patrol, an officer attempted to stop a subject on a bicycle; at the same time, Dispatch advised that college security just witnessed a vehicle burglary with the same subject on a bicycle on northbound Holder. The officer attempted to stop the subject. After a brief foot pursuit, the subject was taken into custody without incident. The subject was arrested for burglary, burglary tools, resist/delay, and possession of stolen property.

Pedestrian Check – 10:48 a.m. – Electric/Philo – From a pedestrian check of a transient, a female subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding warrants.
Restraining Order Violation – 7:07 p.m. – 10400 block of Denni St. – The victim’s ex-boyfriend was reportedly calling and texting her while she was at work.
August 21, 2022
Restraining Order Violation – 12:02 a.m. – 10400 block of Denni St. – The victim called back and said her ex-boyfriend was back at her work and recording her with his phone. As officers arrived, he was last seen jumping into a backyard of a location on Cathy. A perimeter was established, and Seal Beach PD utilized their drone to assist with a yard-to-yard search. Numerous yards were checked; however, he was not located.
Traffic Collision – 7:21 p.m. – Katella/Holder – Officers were dispatched to the listed location regarding an injury traffic collision involving a white Camaro and an Amazon delivery truck. The STAR team was activated and responded to the scene. A traffic SigAlert was made and Katella from Yamaha Way to Hope was shut down. Public Works responded and placed barricades at each intersection to divert traffic. The STAR team cleared the scene at 4:07 a.m. and all lanes of traffic were opened.
