April 18, 2022
Burglary – 9:17 a.m. – 6900 block of Grand Manan – Sometime over the weekend, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s garage and stole the registration paperwork from within the victim’s vehicle.
Traffic Stop – 11:46 a.m. – Valley View/Orange – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a second male subject was arrested for a warrant and for resisting/delaying an officer with force.
April 19, 2022
Disturbance (Family) – 3:32 a.m. – 8500 block of La Salle – From a disturbance call, a male subject was arrested for domestic violence after he was involved in a physical altercation with his wife causing visible injury.
Town Hall Meeting – 6:30 p.m. – 6200 block of Orangewood Ave. – Approximately three hundred community members attended a Town Hall Meeting at Maple Grove Park North.
April 20, 2022
Assist Outside Agency – 3:05 a.m. – 11800 block of Marble Arch Dr. (Tustin) – Both K9 units responded to assist Orange County Sheriff’s Department with searching for a residential burglary suspect. The suspect was not located.
Directed Traffic Enforcement – 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. – Sorrento and District 20 – Patrol assisted the Traffic Bureau with two problem locations. Half of the team assisted with stop sign violations along Sorrento, and the other half of the team provided high visibility and community outreach at Vessels Elementary for traffic and parking violations for the school.
Community Event – 7:00 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – The team responded for a meet-and-greet during a fundraising event held by an Eagle Scout, who was attempting to raise money to build a portable Police K9 obstacle course.
April 21, 2022
Homeless Outreach – 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Police accompanied the team from OC Behavioral Health to conduct homeless outreach. Multiple subjects were contacted who wanted housing but no beds were available and the housing application process was started for a mom and juvenile.
Suspicious Circumstances – 2:16 p.m. – 5200 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call of suspicious circumstances involving an unreported embezzled vehicle, a male subject was arrested for lying about his identity and an outstanding human trafficking kidnapping warrant. In regards to the involved vehicle, DMV investigators responded and handled the investigation.
Suspicious Subject – 11:07 p.m. – 9600 block of Paseo de Oro – From a call for service of a subject looking into vehicles, a male subject was arrested for possession of a ghost gun, narcotics for sales (approximately a quarter pound of methamphetamine), identity theft and a several other felony charges.
April 22, 2022
Residential Burglary – 12:41 p.m. – 9700 block of Juanita St. – Unknown suspects, described as 3 males wearing all black and wearing black masks, forcibly entered the victim’s residence through a guest house bedroom door. It appears that after the alarm sounded, the suspects fled on foot and entered a silver sedan with tinted windows, possibly a Hyundai.
Assault/Battery – 8:18 p.m. – 4300 block of Casa Grande – During a verbal argument, the boyfriend of the victim began to vandalize her vehicle. After he vandalized her vehicle, the victim’s brothers began to beat him up. While fighting, the boyfriend said he was in fear for his life and took out his knife; however, it was quickly taken from him and tossed on top of the carport by a brother. The boyfriend fled the scene and officers were unable to locate him. He later telephoned the Police Department at 3 a.m. and said he was only defending himself.

Suspicious Subjects – 1:41 a.m. – 9100 block of Evergreen – From a suspicious person call, a male subect was arrested for burglary tools and a second male subject was arrested for possession of narcotics.
Disturbance – 1:03 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call of subjects arguing, a male subject was arrested for felony domestic violence and criminal threats after he punched, choked, and threatened to stab the victim while holding a knife.
Arrest – 7:01 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – While in the area, police located a female bleeding from the head. The female victim was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend and two additional family members. A male subject was arrested for felony domestic violence and a parole hold. Two female subjects were arrested for battery.
April 24, 2022
Traffic Collision – 12:29 a.m. – Cerritos/Knott – From a traffic collision investigation, a juvenile was arrested for DUI, providing a false name, and being unlicensed.
Assist Outside Agency – 3:39 a.m. – Lincoln/Valley View (Buena Park) – Buena Park Police Department was involved in a pursuit of catalytic convertor theft suspects. The pursuit terminated in the area of Lincoln and Valley View after the suspect vehicle collided into a parked vehicle. Buena Park PD requested a K9 and additional officers to assist with the containment and an area search after three suspects fled on foot from the vehicle. A K9 search of the area was conducted with the assistance of OCSD’s airship “Duke” and Buena Park PD. The K9 located and apprehended the suspect hiding in a bush in the rear yard in the 8700 block of Valley View.
Commercial Burglary – 5:54 a.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – The reporting party observed two male suspects wearing all black clothing and ski masks exit through a front window smash to the business. The suspects were seen entering into a white Chevy Malibu fleeing southbound on Knott Avenue. Surveillance video footage revealed the suspects gained entry at 3:55 a.m. and were seen passing items through the broken window for nearly 40 minutes before fleeing the scene. The victim responded and determined the loss to be nearly $60,000 worth of alcohol, cigarettes, lottery scratchers, vapes, and cash.
