CYPRESS 5, VALENCIA 2: The Centurions (13-2-2, 4-0) were led by Luke Matlock, who pitched six innings,allowing no earned runs and struck out three in the Empire League game. Chewy Thomas was 1 for 3 with a home run and an RBI and Gabe Cobian was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI.
PACIFICA 5, CREAN LUTHERAN 0: The Mariners improved their record to 13-6 with an Empire League victory. Aidan Colin pitched five innings to get the victory, striking out five. Johnny Dre Morales pitched two innings, striking out two and was 1 for 3 with a run scored. Ryan Anema was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI and Aiden Marquez was 2 for 4 with two RBI. Chad Gurnea was 1 for 2 with a run scored.
TESORO 3, EL TORO 2: The Titans (16-1, 3-0) completed a South Coast League sweep of El Toro Friday. Jackson Freeman pitched seven innings, alloiwing five hits and one earned runb. He was also 2 for 3 with two RBI. Justin Simard was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
FOOTHILL 6, EL DORADO 4: The Knights (13-6, 4-1) scored four runs in the top of the seventh to capture the victory. Brady Schrank had a bases loaded double with two outs in the inning. Aiden Taurek was 2 for 3 with two home runs, three runs scored and two RBI; Schrank was 2 for 3 with a double, run scored and three RBI and Pedro Hernandez was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Andrew Parker (6-0) got the win, allowing three runs and striking out six in six innings. Cameron Kessel got the save.
