Fresh off of being bounced from the House Intelligence Committee by new House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA20), Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA30) has announced that he’s running to unseat Senator Dianne Feinstein in 2024.

He is not alone in that ambition.
Orange County Representative Katie Porter (D-CA47) was the first to announce a run, shortly after having won re-election to her seat in the House of Representatives. Other Democrats expressing interest include Barbara Lee (D-CA12) and Ro Khanna (D-CA17).
Senator Feinstein has not yet announced whether she will seek re-election.
