The City of Tustin has selected Almquist to develop a mixed-use center with retail, restaurant and residential components on a 52-acre site at the corner of Red Hill Avenue and Warner Avenue by the Flight office campus.
The San Juan Capistrano-based developer entered exclusive negotiations with Tustin this month to either acquire or lease the city-owned land after a selection process that included 11 other development proposals, according to city filings.
The proposed development is located within the 1,600-acre Tustin Legacy Specific Plan, which includes The District shopping center, Flight, the Irvine Business Complex and more than 4,000 residences.
Additional details about the project will be released as planning progresses, according to Almquist and the city. Tustin worked with CCP Real Estate Advisors & SRS Real Estate Properties to select the developer.
Almquist is also behind The Canopy at Great Park retail center in Irvine, which is slated to open in late 2026.
