The City of Irvine is beginning its next phase of outreach for our first Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP). The CAAP will set ambitious but achievable emissions reduction targets for the City and lays out a pathway to achieving our climate goals across both municipal operations and our community.
As part of these efforts, Irvine residents are invited to participate in the Summer 2023 CAAP Public Workshop Wednesday, August 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center Conference and Training Center. This is the second public CAAP workshop, and staff will present updated information on the CAAP and provide an interactive feedback opportunity on potential CAAP actions. Through thoughtfully planned greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction and climate adaptation measures, the CAAP will build upon Irvine’s previous steps toward climate leadership in Orange County to create a truly climate-smart City for the future.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided. RSVP is optional but encouraged by emailing your response to environmentalprograms@cityofirvine.org.
