City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States and a leading research center for diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses, announced that its Future Hope Committee will host “Sunday Funday,” featuring the “All In for Hope Poker Tournament.” The event will take place on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, with doors to the event opening at 1 p.m. and games beginning at 2 p.m.
Sunday Funday is a unique day of celebration in support of City of Hope’s vital mission to develop innovative therapies, and treat, and ultimately cure, cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Originally set to take place in March 2020, this event has been over two years in the making, and City of Hope’s Future Hope Committee has used that time to make it a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable event.
Presented by the Natalie Cole Foundation, with additional support from City National Bank, Legacy House and the Frankenheimer Family Trust, Sunday Funday goes well beyond a felt table in providing a unique day of celebration in support of City of Hope’s lifesaving mission. In addition to the All In for Hope Poker Tournament, the afternoon will feature a wide array of culinary delights from Elephante, Beyond Burger, Pinches Tacos, Imperia Caviar, My Mama’s Foods featuring Ghee, Vhee and Chocolate Chai Chunk Cookies, Climate Candy featuring FAVES and select brands from Spangler Candy Company, hand dipped ice cream by Gourmeletas, Ritch Rituals Chocolate and Rice Browns, as well as a special selection of spirits from Bacardi, The Long Drink, Burnarj Sparking Wine made from Andalusian Oranges, beer provided by Peroni, One Hope Wine, De Soi, Danger Coffee, and water provided by Liquid Death Mountain Water.
Guests will be able to enjoy activities with tunes by the amazing DJ Dojah, puppy adoption by Paw Works, doTERRA oils with hand masseuses, Upgrade Labs featuring biohacking experiences, customizable Fragrance Bar, a retail and gifting experience by Aviator Nation, and more activities from magician bartenders, a lipstick reader, and Phonocut, which translates audio formats to vinyl.
