It’s interesting times we live in, with punk bands getting older and older, whereas newer bands are slowly being recognized as where the next frontier of coolness shines for punk rock.
Slide in Amyl and The Sniffers and Lambrini Girls, and life for punkers is getting much more interesting. Wait stop, no I need to clarify, it is getting very interesting because some of the elder statements are making their voices herd, cue in Keith Morris and Circle Jerks.
With no alliance to any of the old guard, Morris speaks truth to power as evidenced by last weekend’s Coachella fest.
What else would expect from the dude that bounced from Black Flag after the initial debut single!
After all these years, fans still scream for “Wild in the Streets,” “Live Fast Die Young,” “World Up My Ass,” “Rock House,” “Deny Everything,” Question Authority,” and “Don’t Care,” Circle Jerks remains a lightning rod for the punk rock faithful.
The quartet that is Circle Jerks features of course Morris on vocals, Greg Hetson on guitar, Zander Schloss on bass, and drummer Joey Castillo. They are nothing short of electric, with a flair for the dramatic and their in-your-face attitude makes all the OG fanbase smile from ear to ear.
Morris and gang will be playing he upcoming Punk in the Park Festival in Denver, July 18th through the 20th.
Just announced, they will be coming back to playing a homecoming show at The Hollywood Palladium on Friday September 19th!
Morris will be celebrating his 70th birthday, so it will be a punk bash like you have never seen before!
Providing support for this one will be Ceremony, Rocket from the Crypt and Negative Approach.
Honestly, catch them while you can as they will be headed across-the-pond later this year to play with Descendents.
It’s hard to say who or what punk rock is all about these days. But, one thing is for certain, speaking your mind has always been part of gig, and Circle Jerks are taking no prisoners in 2025.

They are fast and they are loud, and they remind us each time they take the stage why punk rock is the truest form of music.
Tickets for the Palladium show go on sale this Friday at 10am (Local Time).
