The City of Irvine’s second annual CicloIrvine: An Open Streets Event is Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located along Campus Drive between University Drive and Culver Drive, this celebration will bring the community together to experience Irvine’s public spaces and local businesses in a new and reimagined way with live music, art, and engaging activities for all.

What to Expect

Join the UC Irvine | UCI Health Main Stage area at noon for a Pep Rally with UC Irvine’s Peter the Anteater, free popsicles for the first 100 people, and the chance to enter an opportunity drawing for a free bike, courtesy of Great Park Neighborhoods.

Enjoy a full lineup of live entertainment throughout the day at two performance stages:

Main Stage Lineup

11 a.m.: San Miguel’s lively salsa and Cuban rhythms

12 p.m.: Opportunity drawing and Pep Rally featuring UCI’s Peter the Anteater

12:05 p.m.: Welcome Ceremony with Mayor Larry Agran and opportunity drawing for a free bike

12:40 p.m.: The Kings of ’88 – piano-driven rock favorites

2 p.m.: Mariachi Real San Jose – regional Mexican music

3 p.m.: Tijuana Dogs – energetic rock and dance music

Culver Stage Lineup

11 a.m.: Sinfonietta Ensemble: Youth orchestra performance by CYOSC

11:40 a.m.: Viorhythm: A dynamic violinist ensemble

12:20 p.m.: Irvine High School Dance Ensemble and Hip Hop Team: Student-led dance showcase

1 p.m.: Last Second: Smooth jazz pop sounds

1:40 p.m.: Starlettes: Youth ballet performance presented by SoCa Arts

2:20 p.m.: Zumba Workshop: Interactive fitness fun for all ages

3 p.m.: School of Rock: Youth rock and roll performance

Street Closures and Parking

Street closures for CicloIrvine will be in effect along the event route from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 3. While most surrounding roads will remain open, no street parking will be permitted along the route, and detours will be in place for those living or working nearby. 

Parking for CicloIrvine will be available at the Social Sciences Parking Structure, located at 4502 Campus Drive. Attendees may also utilize Lot 1, located adjacent to the structure.

Due to access restrictions from Campus Drive, vehicles will be routed through the interior of campus. Signage and staff will be on-site to assist with navigation.

To help manage traffic flow and ensure a smooth arrival experience, attendees are strongly encouraged to pre-register their vehicles using ParkbyPlate. Guests who do not register in advance will still be accommodated.
