Celebrate National Public Works Week with the City of Irvine at a free public event Thursday, May 19, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., at Great Park Hangar 244.
Guests will learn what the City of Irvine Public Works & Transportation Department does for our community, residents, and businesses; get an up-close view of equipment including excavators, backhoes, and construction trucks; and have the opportunity to talk to staff to hear more about careers in the field of Public Works.
Partner organizations including the City of Irvine Environmental Programs team, OC Soccer Clem dub, and the Great Park Farm + Food Lab will be on-site to share more about their programs and how Public Works supports the work they do. There will also be food available for purchase from gourmet food trucks.
This public event is free with no RSVP required. Guests are recommended to park in Parking Lot 2; take Ridge Valley to Phantom or Hornet, and then follow on-site signage. View a detailed map of directions and parking at Great Park here.
