Republican Assembly candidate Emily Hibard announced today that the California Prolife Council, the California affiliate of National Right to Life, has endorsed her bid for the 70th Assembly District seat – which includes the cities of Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Stanton, Los Alamitos, and Rossmoor as well as portions of Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, and Midway City.

“I am proud to earn the endorsement of the California ProLife Council,” said Hibard. “California Democrats have the attitude that the government is in charge of children rather than parents. This needs to change. As a pro-life Christian, I think we need to immediately repeal any law that allows schools to take children for medical procedures without parental approval or even notification.”

The California ProLife Council, the California affiliate of the National Right to Life is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian grassroots organization dedicated to restoring legal protection for vulnerable individual lives, particularly those at risk of abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia. To help ensure Life-affirming laws are being passed, the California ProLife Council has a separate segregated PAC for helping to elect pro-life candidates. AD70 is currently represented by Republican Janet Nguyen, who is running for the State Senate. The 70th District has a D+2 registration advantage, and Joe Biden won this seat by only 0.4% in 2020.

This endorsement comes on the heels of Emily Hibard receiving 2/3 of the votes for endorsement from the California Republican Assembly – in a race with the highest number of candidates in the State! The CRA is famously known for being called the “Conscience of the Republican Party” by former California Governor Ronald Reagan.

Los Alamitos resident, Emily Hibard, is a small business owner and non-profit organizational efficiency consultant.
