California Republican Party Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson released the following statement in response to the final state budget, now signed into law:
“The Democrats’ monopoly on spending and policy continues to fail Californians. Taxpayers looking to them for solutions on wildfire prevention, drought, housing affordability, homelessness and public safety will find none. And those desperate for relief from the highest-in-the nation gas prices are going to have to keep waiting, as Democrats again refused to suspend California’s sky-high gas tax, choosing instead to offer rebates that won’t be distributed for months. That’s not leadership, it’s radical regressive politics as usual.”
