Pressure continues to mount for statewide Democrats to meet Republicans on the debate stage and give voters the opportunity to hear from candidates vying for our state’s top offices side-by-side. The Southern California News Group’s Editorial Board even noted today that Democrats avoiding debates “is bad for democracy, voters.”
“Now it’s your turn, Rob Bonta and Malia Cohen. Quit taking California voters for granted and agree to meet Nathan Hochman and Lanhee Chen on the debate stage. If you’re so confident that the Democrat policies that led our state to the top of all the wrong lists is the best path forward, then why are you afraid to defend your position under the spotlight?” – CAGOP Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson
