Beyond Blindness, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving children with visual impairments, announced the appointment of Luis Vasquez as Senior Director of Operations. Vasquez will oversee the day-to-day operations at Beyond Blindness and will work closely with Beyond Blindness’ leaders to direct and coordinate actions across the organization and locate areas for improvement.

His deep knowledge of operations will serve our organization immensely and will help us ensure that the day-to-day activities at Beyond Blindness are run efficiently.”
Bringing over two decades of hospitality industry experience to his role at Beyond Blindness, Vasquez will report directly to Angie Rowe, President and Executive Director of the organization.
Vasquez previously served as Assistant General Manager with Aimbridge Hospitality Group. In this role he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Courtyard Marriot Anaheim Resort, directly supervised staff, and implemented growth strategies as well as departmental policies; goals; objectives and procedures. Prior to his tenure with Aimbridge Hospitality Group, Vasquez spent time as Director of Food and Beverage with ASM Global/SAVOR SMG at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. He spearheaded a multimillion-dollar renovation of restaurant and food outlets, planned and implemented budgets, hired, trained and supervised the food and beverage team and oversaw all food and beverage departments. Previously, Vasquez spent time as General Manager at Pacifica Hotels at Best Western Golden Sails in Long Beach and as General Manager with ACP Management at Capri Laguna Beach. Additionally, he served as Director of Operations for Montage Hotels Resorts, the Aliso Creek Inn & Golf Course, as well as the Travelodge in Laguna Beach.
