Anaheim Public Library wins two ALA PR Xchange Awards

ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 6, 2023) — Anaheim Public Library is the recipient of two American Library Association’s CORE (ALA) PR Xchange Awards. CORE: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a subdivision of ALA, focuses on “advancing the profession of librarians and information providers in central roles of buildings & operations, leadership & management, metadata & collections, and technology.”

The PR Xchange awards honor the highest quality of public relations materials and focus on the quality of content, design, creativity, and originality. More than 215 entries were received nationwide, including public, academic, school, state, and special libraries.

APL won in the Advocacy /Fundraising/ Annual Reports and Strategic Plans – Print category for the 25th annual Mystery Authors Luncheon and Silent Auction promotional materials, which included posters, flyers, and bookmarks.

Additionally, APL received an award in the Reading Programs – Electronic category for the 2022 Summer Reading Program: Read Beyond the Beaten Path launch video. The video can be watched on Anaheim Public Library’s YouTube.

Anaheim Public Library is no stranger to national accolades, as they have received PR Xchange Awards in 2022 and 2020. They most recently won the highest honor, Library of the Year, in 2021 from Library Journal.
