An Anaheim man was fatally shot in Santa Ana on Saturday night

SANTA ANA, Calif. (November 24, 2024)— Santa Ana Police Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation regarding the death of a 48-year-old man who was shot and killed.

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, at approximately 8:51 p.m., Santa Ana Police Communications received a report of a shooting in the area of 2000 S. Wood Street.

Officers responded to the scene and located a man, identified as Trino Steven Leon (48) of Anaheim, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene and transported Trino to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the motive surrounding the shooting is under investigation. Homicide Detectives are attempting to identify and locate additional witnesses who can provide information about the case.
