Adele is saying guten tag to a short summer residency in Munich.
The songstress made a semi-cryptic post to Instagram on Tuesday, where she teased something big was coming on Jan. 31.
Then on Wednesday morning, she revealed a new set of concert dates were on the horizon this summer.
“So a few months ago I got a call about a summer run of shows,” she explained in the caption. “I’ve been content as anything with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I hadn’t had any other plans.”
She then explained that these shows wouldn’t be a regular summer concert series.
“However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea – a one off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on? Ohh!? Pretty much slap bang in the middle of Europe? In Munich?” she continued.
The 16-time Grammy winner at first thought the move was “a bit random, but still fabulous.”
She’ll hit the stage of the Messe Munchen on Aug. 2, 3, 9 and 10.
She did note that the timing couldn’t have been more perfect, as the shows are right after the UEFA European Football Champion, known as the Euros.
“Right after the Euros? Come on England! With the Olympics next door? Go on Simone! And some of my favorite artists playing shows too? Why…YES!!”
The “Hello” singer revealed she hasn’t performed in Europe since 2016.
“I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer,” she concluded her note.
