A man was fatally stabbed outside a Santa Ana McDonald’s this afternoon

A man was fatally stabbed and his body was found at the parking lot of a McDonald’s located 3910 South Bristol St., near the intersection of Bristol and Sunflower Avenue, on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 5.

SAPD police officers were at the scene at around 3:05 p.m. after getting calls about a man who was down at the McDonald’s parking lot at, according to the SAPD.

The man was prounced dead at a local hospital. He was found to have a stab wound to the upper torso.

The man appeared to have been stabbed with a sharp object, but the police officers did not find the weapon. His identity has not been made available.

Police detained another man as a person of interest, but they were not able to confirm if he had a role in the stabbing.

Police investigators were searching for surveillance footage in the area and were talking to witnesses as they investigated.

Police asked that people avoid the area of Bristol and Sunflower as the investigation continued.

An hour ago the SAPD announced that “the scene is now clear, and businesses have resumed normal operations. We urge anyone who witnessed the homicide to contact SAPD Homicide Section Detectives at (714) 245-8390.”
