WESTMINSTER, CA – On Saturday, March 8, 2025, at approximately 2:03 AM, the Westminster Police Department received several calls regarding a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
The adult male motorcyclist (victim) was on the ground in the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard and McFadden Avenue. The driver of the vehicle (later identified as Abdallah Eid) ran southbound on Beach Boulevard from the scene of the accident.
Officers arrived and found the victim in the roadway with severe injuries. Personnel from the Orange County Fire Authority responded to assist and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Westminster Police Department Traffic Bureau was called in to investigate the collision and assist further.
Westminster Police Officers quickly located the Eid in the area of the collision with the assistance of several witnesses. Through their investigation, officers were able to determine Eid was the driver of the suspect vehicle. Eid was arrested for several traffic related felonies, including suspicion of driving under the influence. He was transported to a hospital for his injuries and will bebooked at Orange County Jail.
