“Last night the Jaguars played a complete game making plays in all three facets of the game,” said Jaguars Coach Joseph Tagaloa. “The offense was led by quarterback Noah Martinez who threw two touchdowns and ran for a third. Eddie Anuu led the ground attack breaking off several long runs and a touchdown. Diego Garcia and Adrian Cervantes each hauled in a touchdown pass from Martinez to punctuate the scoring.”

The defense was also tough, the coach said.

“Defensively we had guys flying around all night forcing several three and outs, meeting  one of our team goals.  Eli Lopez recovered a fumble that led to one of our scoring drives. The defense truly played as a unit.

“On special teams we had several big plays. Kicker Josh Martinez was perfect on extra point attempts and had a touch back on kick off. Cayden Branum successfully rushed for a 2-point conversion and the biggest play of the night was Adrian Cervantes returning a punt for a touchdown. Cervantes ended the game with a rushing, receiving, and a return for a touchdown.”

Segerstrom led 43-0 at halftime.

The Jaguars are back in action Friday night hosting El Modena, which will be having its first game of the season.

“Excited to get the first one of the season, but we have no time to celebrate as we host El Modena next Friday,” Tagaloa said. “They are always tough and well coached, so we are looking forward to the challenge.”
