Oceana’s SeaChange Summer Party Coming to Laguna Beach

Oceana’s 19th annual SeaChange Summer Party will take place Saturday, July 25, at a private residence in Laguna Beach, bringing together supporters of the ocean conservation organization for an evening benefiting its global advocacy efforts. This year’s event will honor actress Kate Walsh, with actress June Diane Raphael serving as host. Guests will also enjoy a performance by The Rakiem Walker Project featuring GLR¥A.

The fundraiser comes as Oceana celebrates its 25th anniversary. Founded in 2001, the organization is the largest international advocacy group dedicated solely to ocean conservation. Over the past 25 years, it has secured more than 350 victories worldwide and helped protect more than 4 million square miles of ocean.

SeaChange has raised more than $23 million to support Oceana’s campaigns to protect and restore marine ecosystems. Those efforts have included reducing overfishing, establishing marine protected areas, limiting offshore drilling, curbing plastic pollution, increasing transparency at sea, and protecting threatened species such as whales and sharks.

The 2026 SeaChange Summer Party is co-chaired by Oceana Board Member Elizabeth Wahler and Jeff Blasingame. Funds raised during the evening will help advance the organization’s ongoing work to address threats facing the world’s oceans and the marine life that depends on them.
