Tiffany & Co. debuted its highly anticipated new South Coast Plaza location on June 30. The sprawling store boasts over 15,000 square feet designed by the renowned retail architect Peter Marino — and an impressive selection of high jewelry and diamonds.
Founded in New York City in 1837, the house has established itself as a global luxury standard with an emphasis on elegance, innovative design and fine craftsmanship. With 16 other retail stores in California and 300 worldwide, Tiffany & Co. has amassed a wide clientele in the Southern California area.
The store’s interior pays tribute to the heritage of the house, featuring a textured hammering technique once used by Tiffany silversmith Edward C. Moore. The design symbolizes Tiffany & Co.’s well-known expertise in transforming precious metals into timeless jewelry.
The floor also showcases a custom light sculpture by architect Hugh Dutton, highlighting the house’s most famous collections. On display are the iconic HardWear by Tiffany, Knot by Tiffany, T by Tiffany and Lock by Tiffany pieces.

This store’s design nods to the ocean in a variety of ways, reflecting California’s beauty and immersing guests in the newest Gold Coast boutique. Most prominent are the digital screens by artist Oyoram, projecting sweeping views of the coastline inspired by Newport Beach and Laguna Beach.

This previous gemstone is on loan from a private collection and will be highlighted for the first time at a Tiffany & Co. location.
Other artwork by distinguished artists have been integrated in the space to provide the best luxury experience for clientele. English artist Damien Hirst’s conceptual installations, Tiffany Miraculous, Tiffany Smashing and Tiffany Dish are all on display in the main entrance of World of Tiffany.
