
On Wednesday, February 18, at approximately 8:35 a.m., the Irvine Police Department received a 911 call reporting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity at a business near Bake Parkway and Toledo Way. Three adult females were taken into custody. City staff is in direct contact with the business owner and is providing information on available City of Irvine resources to support any impacted employees and families. At this time, we are not aware of any other ICE enforcement activity within Irvine.
The City’s mission is to create and maintain a community where people can live, work, and learn in an environment that is safe and welcoming for all. Our response regarding immigration-related matters has not changed — the City of Irvine continues to focus on providing exceptional services to all in our community, regardless of immigration status.
