In 2026, Orange County Grantmakers (OCG) is kicking off its 20th year of impact with leadership changes that will empower the organization in its mission to spark bold collaboration and build a more equitable Orange County.
“As OCG celebrates this major milestone, we’re excited to strengthen our commitment to uniting philanthropy, nonprofits, and the public sector,” says Taryn Palumbo, OCG Executive Director. “We believe a more equitable future is on the horizon—one that is possible when we leverage our collective skills, networks, and resources to facilitate growth in our community.”

The promotion of Ana-Christina Murillo to Senior Manager, Programs & Memberships, reflects OCG’s continued efforts to address the needs of Orange County communities in real-time while driving critical conversations and actionable solutions. In this elevated role, Murillo will lead OCG’s external programming to align member focus areas and respond to current events. She will also serve as the liaison for member relations, engaging philanthropic leaders in the community to ensure they play a direct role in defining the future of Orange County.
OCG also appointed three new members to its board of directors: Program & Membership Chairs Tiffany Roberts and Vanessa Hugon Badal, and At-Large Member Nancy Mejía.
“The strategic insights and new perspectives of these newly appointed directors, along with the philanthropic expertise of returning board members, are what we need at this pivotal moment,” says Palumbo. “Together, we can engage in conversations that facilitate bold solutions to address social and economic disparities in our region and bring to life our vision where every community thrives and every person has the opportunity to flourish.”

Tiffany Roberts, Foundation Director, Farmers & Merchants Bank, spearheads corporate social responsibility efforts for the company through volunteerism and overall support of organizations that impact communities across Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Barbara counties. With a background in corporate marketing and graduate degree in nonprofit management, Roberts’ passion is bridging marketing and strategy concepts to find creative solutions for the nonprofit sector.

Vanessa Hugon Badal, Executive Director, Golden State Foods Foundation, leads the philanthropic arm of the global foodservice company, including all aspects of grantmaking, volunteer programs, and strategic growth in support of children and families in need. Since joining Golden State Foods in 2019, she has helped expand the Foundation’s impact through programs that provide essential resources and enrichment, serving thousands of children annually, while also sustaining record levels of associate giving.

Nancy Mejía, Program Officer, Weingart Foundation, leads grantmaking and partnerships in Orange County. She has two decades of experience partnering with underserved communities of color to advance social justice through grassroots advocacy, coalition-building, research, and direct service. Prior to philanthropy, she worked in the O.C. nonprofit sector where she learned what community power looks like and the importance of reimagining systems to center those most impacted by inequity to drive solutions.
They join three returning board members:

Julie Tran Tomanpos, Associate Vice President, Philanthropy & Community Impact, Wells Fargo, begins her term as OCG Board Chair in 2026. From housing to small business, Tomanpos leads cross-sector collaboration in O.C. to address racial and social equity and accelerate an inclusive economy.

Denise Scott, Vice President, Client and Community Relations Director, PNC, will serve as OCG’s 2026 Vice Chair. With two decades of experience in corporate marketing and nonprofit leadership, Scott leads the bank’s local strategy for employee, client, and community engagement with a focus on supporting programs that equip organizations with the tools and resources needed to deliver high-quality early childhood education.

Nate Brown, Senior Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility, Director, PIMCO Foundation, served as board chair for OCG in 2025. Brown’s commitment to improving opportunities for families living in poverty has driven his 20-year career, which includes building strategic alliances, coalitions, and partnerships to advance equity.
OCG will continue celebrating 20 years of impact throughout 2026, including the inaugural Funders Summit, a half-day convening of funders from across the state who invest in the Orange County community.
