It began with a Champagne reception in the elegant, light-filled Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, where a sold-out crowd of some 350 guests mingled as they sipped bubbly and placed bids on silent auction items such as Mikimoto Pearls, a Khaite Simona shoulder bag, and a three-night stay at the Four Seasons Resort Cabo del Sol while awaiting the start of the main attraction: a runway fashion show in the Samueli Theater. Guests, all of whom were dressed to the nines, watched as a parade of models took to the runway dressed in more than 40 gorgeous designer ensembles from South Coast Plaza. Think styles from Stella McCartney, Oscar de la Renta, Balmain, and more.

Afterward, the well-heeled crowd made their way back to the concert hall for lunch. And by the end of the day, $2 million had been raised. “For 33 years, Harvesters have stood behind Second Harvest Food Bank’s mission to make sure families and children in Orange County have access to nutritious food,” said Harvesters Chairwoman Jassel Kaye. “The need in our community continues to grow, and every dollar raised at the Fashion Show & Luncheon helps ensure that community members facing food insecurity are fed and nourished.”
