AMC Theatres is paying tribute to actress Diane Keaton by rereleasing two of her most iconic movies to the big screen.
The movie theater chain will bring back the 1977 comedy “Annie Hall,” which Keaton won an Academy Award for as well as the 2003 classic “Something’s Gotta Give.”
The screenings will start on Oct. 17 and will run in 100 cinemas nationwide for one week.
Meanwhile, Nancy Meyers, the filmmaker behind “Something’s Gotta Give” paid tribute to her late friend and collaborator in a post on Instagram.
“As a woman, I lost a friend of almost 40 years – at times over those years, she felt like a sister because we shared so many truly memorable experiences. As a filmmaker, I’ve lost a connection with an actress that one can only dream of,” she wrote. “We all search for that someone who really gets us, right? Well, with Diane, I believe we mutually had that. I always felt she really got me, so writing for her made me better because I felt so secure in her hands.”
The actress passed away on Oct. 11 in Los Angeles at 79 years old. She is survived by her two children, Dexter and Duke.
