On the Move: Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast Welcomes Four New Members to Its Board of Governors

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast proudly announces the addition of four distinguished leaders to its Board of Governors, joining through the organization’s recent merger with Boys & Girls Clubs of Buena Park. Their combined leadership and passion will strengthen the Club’s mission to prepare future generations for success and expand its impact across eight cities: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Irvine, Newport Beach, Orange, and Santa Ana.

“Our Board of Governors is made up of leaders who believe in the limitless potential of young people,” said Robert Santana, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. “The addition of Darren, Frank, Carmen, and Rick helps us amplify our mission and ensure more youth have the resources and opportunities to pursue greatness.”

Darren Frank, Pre-Owned Director at Simpson Automotive Group, joined the Buena Park Board in 2019. With a strong commitment to service, Frank was inspired to continue the legacy of longtime supporter David Simpson. His drive to serve family, colleagues, and community makes him a dedicated advocate for youth.

Frank Alvarez, Managing Partner of Premier Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Buena Park, joined the Buena Park Board in 2018. His decision to continue his board service reflects his longstanding commitment to supporting young people. In addition to his professional leadership, Alvarez serves with the CHP 11-99 Foundation Golf Committee.

Carmen Koo

Carmen Koo, President of Applied Air Conditioning, Inc., joined the Buena Park Board in 2016 and has been with her company for 17 years. Involved with the Club for over a decade, Koo has focused her efforts on enhancing her community and supporting vulnerable children. Her leadership continues to advance the mission of creating meaningful opportunities for youth.

Rick McAuley

Rick McAuley, CEO of McAuley LCX Corporation, joined the Buena Park Board in 2007. With more than 50 years of experience in the petroleum and real estate industries, McAuley oversees operations of McAuley LCX, the Aztec Group, and Los Coyotes Country Club. A long-standing philanthropist, he brings extensive business and community leadership experience to the board.

Together, these new members join a team of business and community leaders who are shaping the future of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. Their addition reflects a shared commitment to ensuring every young person has the mentorship, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive and achieve their full potential.
