Reunited to Rock California
September 23rd, 2025 by Traci Turner
The band behind one of the most memorable songs of the ‘90s is reunited and ready to return to our stages. Rockers 4 Non Blondes will perform two exclusive club shows this December – one at The Roxy in LA, and one at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
Founder and lead vocalist Linda Perry said, “4 Non Blondes has been having a great time playing all of these incredible festivals but honestly we are excited to get back to the clubs. It’s where every band starts, you figure out what songs people like, learn about your mistakes, how to read the audience, most of all the audience gets a better understanding of who you are in this more intimate setting. My name is Linda Perry and I endorse this quote.”

4 Non Blondes blew up our radios with their debut album, “Bigger, Better, Faster, More!” in 1992. EVERYONE knows their rock anthem, “What’s Up?” as it lived on radios and MTV at the time, and is still “a rallying cry against those forces of quasi-political control in the name of personal freedom.”
While the debut album catapulted them to stardom, 4 Non Blondes disbanded in 1994, and Perry went on to have an incredible career as a songwriter and producer, working with Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, and P!nk.
But in 2025, Perry reunited with 4 Non Blondes founder, bassist Christa Hillhouse, and original touring members of the group, drummer Dawn Richardson and guitarist Roger Rocha for first time in more than 33 years.
While Perry deemed their first rehearsal as “awkward at first,” the four musicians continued meeting and playing, which led Perry to write “a bunch of new songs, revisit some old ones, and bam, we have an album. It’s really that simple. They’re all phenomenal players and now they get a chance to show that. I couldn’t ask for a better band to play these songs.” The band has confirmed they will release a new album in 2026 – their first new material since “Bigger, Better, Faster, More!”
As for those shows… The Roxy in LA hosts the band on December 15th and San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall has them December 17th. Tickets go on sale this Friday with presales starting today and throughout the week.
So now you know “What’s Up?”
