THE BUENA VISTA ORCHESTRA
The Buena Vista Orchestra features 10 talented musicians playing piano, trumpet, bass, conga drums, and more. The group is led by Jesus “Aguaje” Ramos, who was the original orchestra leader, composer, and trombonist of The Buena Vista Social Club. THE VIC SKIMBOARDING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Each year, skimboarders flock to Aliso Beach for the opportunity to compete in the Vic Skimboarding World Championships. The competition features amateurs and professionals alike with an 8-years-and-under division all the way up to the 50-plus division. There are competitions for both men and women, and in addition to winning in their division, competitors can win special awards, including best wipe out and best wave. NEW SWAN SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL: “MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING”
Swapping Italy for the Wild West, the New Swan Shakespeare Festival’s rendition of “Much Ado About Nothing” is unique and hilarious. The play’s classic comedic love stories are refreshed with a live bluegrass band performing the soundtrack along with cowboys and outlaws at the center of the show. OC PARKS SUNSET CINEMA
