Midday Stock Roundup: Tilly’s Up After Partner Announcement

Irvine-based clothing retailer Tilly’s Inc. rose 4.2% to $1.50 apiece for a market cap of $45 million. Earlier today Tilly’s announced a partnership with AI company Impact Analytics to streamline inventory and business intelligence. AEROSPACE

Space tourism company Virgin Galactic (NYSE: SPCE) in Tustin was down 5.1% to $4.09 apiece for a market cap of $168 million giving back some recent gains that pushed the share price up to $4.31 yesterday.

MARKETS

Gold was up 1% at $3.441.60

The price for a barrel of oil decreased 1.6% to $66.11.

EMPLOYMENT

International Paper Co. told California state officials it will be laying off 71 workers in Buena Park as of Sept. 13 due to a permanent closure at the site.
