Last October Punk in the Park helped team with NOFX for a proper sendoff on the band’s final shows ever for their Punk in Drublic weekend in San Pedro.
Punk in the Park posted to social media earlier this week that they would be returning again this year to Berth 46 in San Pedro for a two-day festival. Friday morning they posted the lineup, albeit ahead of schedule allegedly because Guttermouth had leaked the flyer early. Oops.
Arguably one of the biggest lineups to ever drop for a Punk in the Park festival, some of the biggest names in punk rock will be playing October 4th and 5th.
Headlining Saturday will be punk gods Bad Religion with Hermosa Beach’s own Pennywise.
Sunday’s headliners will be punk legends Descendents joined by The Interrupters. Just these four bands alone are enough to draw out all of Southern California to San Pedro over this October weekend, with many traveling all across the country and even coming internationally.
However, the sheer number of bands also playing is simply mind-blowing, totaling over 40 bands across three stages on each day.
As Punk in the Park is also often associated with, there will also be a beer tasting event during the early hours of the festival.

Although the rest of the lineup has been announced, all other bands have not been scheduled for a specific day just yet. For the elders punks amongst us, The Adicts, Screeching Weasel, Stiff Little Fingers, T.S.O.L., The Adolescents, Agent Orange, Dwarves, and the Queers will all be performing. For the 90s punks such as myself, Face to Face, Street Dogs,
The Bronx, Manic Hispanic, Guttermouth, Authority Zero, Ignite, and Death By Stereo will be representing for the street punks. But, don’t sleep on some of the more recent bands that will also be playing. NIIS and Slaughterhouse are two bands from Los Angeles that have been generating quite a buzz in the past few years, as well as Crazy & the Brains and newcomers Terror Attack who just played a killer set at Punk Rock Bowling last month.

A blind “early bird” sale launched earlier this week before bands were announced, and no surprise already sold out. Tier 2 pricing is available at the time this was printed, but will not be around long, especially after the lineup dropped. A separate Beer Tasting Pass can be purchased for $15 per day, with sampling from noon to 3:00 pm on each day. Get your tickets now!
