Erasure vocalist and songwriter Andy Bell will drop his solo album, “Ten Crowns,” on May 2nd, with a major tour to follow. The North American trek will take him to every corner of the US and includes several intimate venues – a very special treat for such a legendary artist.
Upon announcing the new tour dates, Bell also gave us another single, “Heart’s a Liar,” which includes a very special guest vocalist – the legendary Debbie Harry of Blondie.

Bell said, “To have Debbie Harry singing with me – you know, I still can’t quite believe it.” The song follows previously released singles “Don’t Cha Know,” “Dance For Mercy,” and “Breaking Thru the Interstellar,” all of which give clues that “Ten Crowns” will be full of the joy and dancefloor pop that we love from Bell.
Bell went on to describe “Ten Crowns:” “This album’s about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, embracing life – and about taking that feeling on even when you’re fighting demons in the world, like homophobia, and fighting demons in yourself. It’s about being celebratory and uplifting.”
“Ten Crowns” will be available on vinyl (white, oxblood, and picture disc), CD (standard and 2CD versions), gold cassette, and digitally.
Four decades ago, Bell joined Vince Clarke to launch the phenomenon known as Erasure. Their partnership has garnered award after award, and sales of more than 20 million albums, several of which hit the top spot on UK charts. The hits do not stop: “Oh L’Amour,” “Breath of Life,” “Chains of Love,” “Stop!,” “Sometimes,” “Love to Hate You,” “A Little Respect,” “Who Needs Love,” “Ship of Fools,” “Chorus,” “Victim of Love,” plus their ABBA covers are iconic.

Erasure’s 2020 release, “The Neon,” had an accompanying tour which they had to cancel due to family circumstances. Sadly we now know it was an illness that led to the passing of Clarke’s wife, Tracy Martin. However, the duo recently began work on a new Erasure album together.
Bell’s North American tour kicks off in Nashville on October 3rd, travels along the East Coast, and across the US before closing out in SoCal with three dates: December 10th in San Diego at Music Box, and December 12th and 13th in Los Angeles at The Fonda Theater.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
