L.A. and San Diego residents would be “MAD!” to miss the dynamic pop rock duo of Sparks on their upcoming tour. The jaunt will allow the gents to grace fans with their exciting presence and impressive catalog, both internationally and domestically.
The avant-garde group from Los Angeles will be debuting tracks from their new album, “MAD!” and Southern Californians can catch Sparks on the domestic leg of the tour, September 29th at The Magnolia and September 30th at The Greek Theatre.
The Brothers Mael – Ron on keyboards and Russell on vocals – took the ‘70s by storm when their iconic single, “This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of Us,” hit the airwaves.
Off their breakthrough album “Kimono My House,” the song hit number two on the charts, paving the way for their countless hits since. Then, they got angst in their pants!
No matter who we started off talking about, it always went back to Sparks – BECK

It was their offbeat quirkiness that gave them infamy and the source talk among musicians.
Cool places like KROQ in the ’80s gave them a platform and a home.
We fell in love with “Angst in My Pants,” “I Predict,” “All You Ever Think About is Sex,” “Modesty Plays,” “Moustache,” there’s “Cool Places” with Jane, and we wouldn’t it be great if Sparks played a night at Disney so they could reunite with “Mickey Mouse.”

Their eclectic and theatrical style made the distinctive duo pioneers in the electronic music genre, and they proved they had not lost their “Spark” when they released the 2023 album, “This Girl Is Crying in Her Latte.”
Full of their characteristic blend of pop, rock, and orchestral elements, the album and resulting tour brought sold out shows and even more chart success.
In their upcoming album, “MAD!,” the brothers have brought that same energy to the delight of their old and new fans alike.
With currently released tracks, such as the independent “Do Things My Own Way,” the nostalgic “JanSport Backpack,” and the relatable “Drowned in a Sea Of Tears,” those lucky enough to attend any one of these concert dates are in for an amazing night.

While being a newer venue, The Magnolia boasts an epic open layout and beautiful backdrop, which makes for fantastic acoustic sound quality and enhanced atmosphere.
