A 2024 blue Jeep Gladiator’s value can range from around $39,790 for the base model to over $64,890 for the top-trim Rubicon X, with Kelley Blue Book suggesting paying $1,672 to $4,737 less than MSRP.
In California, stealing a vehicle like a 2024 blue Jeep Gladiator can lead to serious penalties. The crime is typically classified as grand theft auto if the vehicle is valued at more than $950.
Grand theft auto is considered a “wobbler” offense, meaning it can be charged as either a misdemeanor or a felony. If charged as a misdemeanor, the penalty can include up to one year in county jail. If charged as a felony, the penalties can be more severe, with potential prison sentences of 16 months, 2 years, or 3 years.
Additionally, if the theft involves joyriding or taking the vehicle for a short period without the intent to permanently deprive the owner, it might be charged under a different statute with slightly different penalties
