Detectives are attempting to locate Jose Henriquez, who is wanted on an arrest warrant and is the subject of a protective order filed by his family, according to the SAPD.

Henriquez has repeatedly attempted to force contact with his ex-wife and children at their residence in the 2100 block of S. Pacific Avenue.

In California, violating a protective order is a serious offense. The penalties can vary depending on the circumstances:

Misdemeanor: If it’s a first-time offense, it is typically charged as a misdemeanor. This can result in up to 1 year in county jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000.

Felony: If the violation involves violence, threats of violence, or if the offender has prior convictions for violating protective orders, it can be charged as a felony. This can lead to up to 3 years in jail or prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
