Habitat for Humanity O.C. presents a Jimmy Carter Memorial at the Bowers Museum

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County and Bowers Museum proudly present the Jimmy Carter Memorial Door, a temporary art installation honoring the late president’s lifelong advocacy for safe and affordable housing.

Located in the Key Courtyard of Santa Ana’s Bowers Museum, the installation is on display from Wednesday, January 15, to Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The memorial features a residential front door where visitors can leave messages of love, respect, and gratitude, uniting the community in celebration of Carter’s unwavering dedication to creating a world where everyone has a place to call home.

This tribute also acknowledges the extraordinary contributions of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, who volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for more than 30 years, working alongside over 108,000 volunteers to build or repair more than 4,400 homes in 14 countries.
