PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE

IRVINE 53, UNIVERSITY 43: Irvine rolled to a 34-11 halftime lead and held on to win at University Tuesday night. Irvine (19-2, 3-0) won its 12th in a row and was led by junior Jalen Yim’s 17 points (15 in the first half including three 3-pointers). Sophomore swingman Holden Stearns scored 12 points while senior center Cooper Stearns added eight points, 13 rebounds and four assists.

Senior guard Isaac Evans led University (5-12, 2-1) with 19 points. Senior center Eli Pretto had 10 points while junior point guard Savion Ruth contributed eight points.

CRESTVIEW LEAGUE

CREAN LUTHERAN 69, CYPRESS 68 (2 OTS): Crean Lutheran (9-9, 2-1) rallied from a 10-point deficit to force overtime and win the match-up of former Empire League rivals.

FOOTHILL 61, LA HABRA 55: Foothill (14-7, 1-1) was led by Danny Kennard who had 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Lorenzo Turner had 12 points and five rebounds and three steals, Braeden Davidson had 12 points and five rebounds and Noah Arakelien 11 points, seven assists and two steals.

GROVE LEAGUE

ORANGE 70, LOARA 51: Junior Ivan Kim led Orange in scoring with 17 points, according to Coach Jake Rhodes. Juniors Victor Ceja, Sebastian Nunez and Landen Gomez all scored 12 points each. Senior Mark Hernandez had 11 points. for Orange (1-2) in league.

YORBA LINDA 69, BREA OLINDA 45: Jordan Laws and Rocco Gaffoglio each scored 14 points and Elyas Hasseem 11 points to lead Yorba Linda.

TARBUT V’ TORAH 49, WEBB SCHOOL 28: The Lions, off to their best start since 2010 with a 9-1 overall record and 2-0 league mark, were led by Jake Coblentz-Brown who had 14 points and nine rebounds. Ari Varon had 11 points and Graydon Carpet added 10 points to go with seven assists.
