A suspect found out the hard way, at 6:30 a.m. this morning, that commiting petty theft from a vehicle with two qualifying prior convictions is a very bad idea – if you get caught, according to the Tustin Police Department.
Unfortunately for this fellow, this crime of opportunity happened 6 hours and 30 minutes too late as now law enforcement can enforce Prop 36’s new statutes. This means this suspect is heading to prison.
Total enforcement in Tustin can be expected just as much as our great SoCal holiday weather!
In the past the criminals could just stay in Los Angeles and get away with murder but now the L.A. voters have dumped their old criminal-loving District Attorney (Gascon) and the new guy means business when it comes to imprisoning criminals.
It is a new age for law enforcement in California!
