NORTHWOOD 52, UNIVERSITY 32: Northwood’s girls basketball team used a 20-2 second quarter advantage to defeat league opponent University in the Santa Ana Elks Classic Tournament at Segerstrom High Wednesday night.
Northwood (3-9) was were led by junior Mya Glezman with 21 points and three 3-pointers and freshman Joey Tito with 10 points and two 3-pointers.
University (3-7) was led by senior center Julia Holmes scored seven points with eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Selin Haytoglu added seven points off the bench.

CREAN LUTHERAN 60, DOWNEY 31: The Saints captured a win at the Sunny Hills Tournament. Sydnee Norwood had 15 points, Jane Hewitt 13 points and Jordyn Norwood nine points to lead Crean Lutheran, which continues tournament play Friday in the semifinals.
