Santa Margarita youth football team headed to Florida for national competition

The Santa Margarita Pop Warner 14-and-under youth football team, the Cowboys, coached by Mark Graves, is headed to Orlando, Fla. to compete among the top eight teams in the nation.

The Cowboys have had a memorable journey to Pop Warner’s Elite Eight, finishing their regular season undefeated and claiming the league title at the Orange Bowl.

The squad went on to win the Wescon Region championship against Arizona’s top team. Now boasting a perfect 12-0 record, they are just three games away from a shot at the national championship.
