Sherman Library & Gardens is getting ready to share a “visit to Christmases past” with guests of all ages as they navigate the gardens and take a stroll down memory lane for the annual “Nights of 1000 Lights.”

This year’s theme, “Celebrate 10 Years of Nights of 1000 Lights,” will bring back interpretations of the best installations for another festive year of favorites.

Picture Sherman’s grand Christmas tree as the centerpiece of the Central Garden set among the magic of Christmas ribbons come to life and a sea of brilliant poinsettias.  Once you wind your way through holiday vines, the iconic light tunnel will guide you to the legendary Moon Goddess. Once again, she will grace the garden to bring her celestial peace of the season.

Another eye-popping 3D experience awaits you in the conservatory, a Scandinavian Christmas in the sun garden, and a boogie bonanza in the tea garden.

Sherman Library & Gardens is a non-profit that has been deeply rooted in Orange County for over half of a century, serving the community as a sanctuary and education beacon for history and beauty.

Founded in 1966 by Arnold Haskell, and named for his friend and mentor, Moses Hazeltine Sherman, this iconic institution serves as a guardian of regional history and artifacts, a living library of plants both native and exotic, and a conservator of artistic works influenced by and produced in the Pacific Southwest.

Today, Sherman Library & Gardens is a monument to Haskell’s dream of an educational and cultural center including a premier botanical garden and outstanding research library.

Sherman Library & Gardens was recently recognized by the Newport Beach City Council with a proclamation, naming Sherman Library & Gardens as the “Cultural Hub” of Corona del Mar.
