WOODBRIDGE 19, ROSARY 6: The Pacific Coast League leading Warriors (13-5, 8-0) captured a physical game at Rosary Wednesday.

Rosary got the ball first and drove down the field and scored on its first possession. However, Woodbridge answered back a couple of possessions later with Laney Brucker throwing to Zoey Ceman for a 17-yard touchdown pass.

The two hooked up two more times accounting for all the Warriors’ scoring.

“Woodbridge’s defense showed up big in this game shutting out Rosary after their first drive,” said Coach Mark Thompson. “They had a couple of critical fourth-down stops as well. Morgan Moore had three sacks on the quarterback and Zoey Ceman had an interception. It was a good win over a talented and well-coached team.”

ESTANCIA 13, ORANGE 0: Coach Nate Goellrich’s Eagles (12-4) were led by quarterback Jaydin McClure, who completed was 18 of 28 passes for 121 yards and a TD.

Aisleen Avalos had eight catches for 46 yards and a touchdown, Peyton Thomas had three catches for 28 yards and Crystal Rodriguez had four catches for 30 yards.

Avalos had an interception, returned for a touchdown for 80 yards for Estancia, which clinched a CIF playoff berth earlier this week.
