Santa Ana public school evacuated after a report of an active shooter

The SAPD reported via X about three hours ago that they were at the scene at the school formerly known as McFadden Intermediate and now called the McFadden Institute of Technology, located at 2701 S. Raitt St. to investigate a threat of an active shooter.

They investigated the matter with their partners at the Santa Ana School Police and the OCFA.

The police asked residents to avoid the area and the school was locked down.

The SAPD completed their sweep of the school and found no threats, two hours ago. There are no reports of injuries, gunfire, or individuals with weapons.

The school was evacuated as a precautionary measure.

The students were escorted and later released from Christ Our Savior Church located at 2000 W. Alton Ave. Updates to come.

The SAPD found no evidence of an active shooter.

The SAPD later announced that “appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during this investigation.”

As usual the SAUSD reported nothing on their Facebook and X pages.

It should be noted that a majority of the current SAUSD School Board members are anti-law enforcement and have advocated to remove school police from campuses.
